Penny Williams is a Freelance Writer, Real Estate Broker, wife, and mother of two living in the mountain landscape of Asheville, N.C.
Penny's writing background began in college where she interned in the Public Relations Department of a Tampa, FL AIDS clinic. Later, she worked in Human Resources at Tricon Global (now YUM Brands) developing corporate internal marketing materials for employee benefits. Directly after, Penny spent two years working in a small Graphic Design Studio providing copy, art direction, and project management on dozens of marketing and advertising campaigns.
In 2008, raw from her son's ADHD diagnosis, Penny began writing about ADHD both as catharsis and to help other parents raising behavior-challenged, special needs children. She is the creator, author, and editor of the blog, {a mom's view of ADHD}, where she writes candidly about the everyday experiences of parenting her young ADHD son. Penny has also published several articles and essays on the subject in ADDitude Magazine and has been interviewed for a couple articles in other publications as well, all of which are detailed in this online portfolio.
